History
Around 2 years ago a few of my friends started making websites using something called piczo (don’t click it, will bring drag and drop fetish) and I thought I’d have a go. I made a pathetic site containing nothing but stolen graphics and pictures of my friends and thought it was amazing. Eventually, I got bored of my personal piczo site and decided to make a graphics site. I grew annoyed with piczo’s image limit and I started to put everything in HTML boxes. Of course, this looked extremely ugly, with most of the images just showing little x’s, but to me it was wonderful. I made many sites like this and was becoming very bored. That’s when I started to make my own graphics. My final piczo site contained nothing but my graphics and was decent for a piczo site. In my opinion anyway.
Finally, after about a year of web-design (if you can call it that) my piczo-ing was over. Everyone seemed to be moving on and I wanted to join them. I went straight from piczo to a domain, which was a big step for me. Googlygraphics.com, my first ever domain. I ran this site on and off for about a year. Then I realised I’d gotten so bored of Googlygraphics, it was time for something new.
That’s how this site came about. I’d seen many blog/article sites which inspired me to create my own. So here it is.
Name
Yes, my website has a name. I bet you didn’t know that did you?? Mamyology.
Mamy – How I used to say my name when I was little. My parents missed a letter on my birth certificate, that’s what I thought anyway.
Amyology – I typed my name in on a random site which generated fake definitions for words relating to my name. Amyology came up and it’s definition was ‘Mindless worship of Amy’. Anybody want to join Amyology
